What it costs
The same prices as everywhere we work: dryer vent cleaning is $199, normally $298, with a year of Comfort+ membership included, or $199 added to an air duct cleaning.
Dryer vent cleaning, a year of Comfort+ membership included
$199, normally $298
Dryer vent cleaning, added to an air duct cleaning
$199
The price covers the whole dryer vent line, from the back of the dryer to the hood outside, with camera photos of what we find, a dated invoice, and before and after photos of your line when we can get a clear shot. Anything past the cleaning, like a new hose or a guard on the hood, you get the price first.
With Comfort+ membership, $199 a year covers the dryer vent cleaning every year, plus a water heater flush with a sewer camera inspection, a heating maintenance visit and a cooling maintenance visit, and we tell you when each one is due.
Recent work
What our technicians found and fixed on visits in Chantilly, from their notes on each job.
October 2026
The dryer was taking longer to dry. The camera checked the dryer vent line for a blockage, the line was cleaned with an airflow check, and a new hose went in behind the dryer, with a year of Comfort+ membership included.
September 2026
A dryer vent line built with three elbows, which can’t be cleaned from inside the house. Cleaning it from the outside end takes two technicians and a 30 foot ladder.
February 2026
Dryer vent cleaning with a new semi-rigid connector and two new clamps behind the dryer.
What’s different in Chantilly
In 20151 most houses went up in the 1980s and 90s, the median in 1987; about six in ten homes are single-family and about a quarter are townhouses. A dryer vent in a house that age has carried close to forty years of laundry, and a good many have only ever had the lint screen cleaned.
20152 is the South Riding side, in Loudoun County. The houses there are newer, the median one built in 2006, and nearly half are townhouses. Stack three floors on a narrow lot and the dryer vent has to travel to get out, up through the roof or along a ceiling to the rear wall, collecting lint at every bend.
Our shop is on Lafayette Center Drive, so a Chantilly dryer vent cleaning is the shortest drive we make. The photos on our dryer vent cleaning page, before and after, weren’t taken here, though; they came from a job in Ashburn.
The two ZIPs sit in two counties, 20151 in Fairfax and 20152 in Loudoun, so they have different fire departments and different permit offices. Neither changes a dryer vent cleaning: no permit, same price, same visit. What changes is the house. In a single-family house in Greenbriar or Brookfield the dryer vent is usually a shorter run out a side or back wall, while a South Riding townhouse may send it up three floors.
Neighborhood by neighborhood
Census figures for each place, and what that usually means for the dryer vent. Median year built and heat count owner-occupied homes only.
| Place | Median home built | Most homes are | Heated with | What the dryer vent usually does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| South Riding | 2006 | single-family houses, about 5 in 10 | gas, about 8 in 10 | Townhouse streets: long dryer vent runs, often to the roof or the back wall. |
| Chantilly | 1987 | single-family houses, about 6 in 10 | gas, about 5 in 10 | 1980s and 90s houses: dryer vents through a wall or a ceiling, often never cleaned end to end. |

When it’s due
Nearly half of South Riding is townhouses built around 2006, so a lot of dryer vents there climb through three floors on the way out. Twenty years in, many have never had a brush through them past the first bend.
A townhouse dryer vent runs a long way to reach the outside, often to the roof or across a ceiling to the back wall. A long run fills faster than a short one, so once a year matters more here.
A 2005 house has run twenty years of laundry through its dryer vent, often a long run from an upstairs laundry room, and plenty have never been cleaned end to end.
The dryer vent, locally
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue tells every household to clean the lint out of the dryer vent pipe once a year, sooner if clothes are taking longer to dry, and to have a gas dryer checked by a professional. Source.
Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue, one of the companies in Loudoun County’s fire and rescue system, says the dryer vent, from the back of the dryer to the outside of the house, should be cleaned at least once a year, and that longer drying times are a sign it’s clogged. Source.

Choosing who cleans it
Questions to ask anybody who quotes you, us included.
Dryer vent cleaning is a short visit, so it helps when the crew isn’t driving across the county to reach you. Our shop is on Lafayette Center Drive in Chantilly.
Brushing the first few feet from the laundry room isn’t a dryer vent cleaning. Ask whether they clean from the back of the dryer to the hood outside, and how they get the lint out of the house instead of pushing it further down.
Camera photos of the inside of your dryer vent line are how you know it needed cleaning, and before and after photos are how you know the job was done. Ask to see them, and for a dated invoice if your HOA wants proof.

Called SwiftPro around 5 am and their electronic system scheduled an appointment for us same day.
We had Aaron from Swiftpro clean our dryer vent and he did a wonderful job. Arrived on time, was courteous and professional. He found and fixed a problem with the vent attachment at no extra charge. Would recommend highly!

Questions
Yes. The mail says Chantilly, the county is Loudoun, and it’s a short drive from the shop. Dryer vent cleaning is the same price on both sides of the county line.
Often, yes. In those townhouses the dryer vent travels a long way to get outside, and a long line clogs sooner. Step outside while the dryer runs: if the flap barely lifts, the line is packed, and that’s a dryer vent cleaning, under an hour in most homes. The camera photos show you how packed it was.
Some Northern Virginia HOAs ask for a yearly dryer vent cleaning and a receipt, so check your association’s rules. We leave a dated invoice you can forward, and, when we can get a clear shot, photos of your line before and after.
