Is PEX better than copper for a house?
Neither wins everywhere. PEX installs faster, bends around framing with fewer fittings and handles freezing better. Copper lasts a long time, stands up to heat and doesn't mind sunlight. Plenty of houses end up with both: copper near the water heater, PEX out to the fixtures. Water chemistry and what's already in your walls usually decide it.
